Data Architect - DC Metro Area (Annapolis MD)
I'm looking for a Data Architect in the DC metro area (Annapolis MD).
Candidate needs to be
- US Citizen and willing to get govt clearance (or pre-cleared)
- a team player, yet able to work with minimal direction
- Oracle Savvy - Production Oracle DBA & database development skills necessary
- Skilled in the following: ERWin, PL/SQL, ETL (whatever flavor), UNIX/Linux shell scripts, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Diverse expertise in the realm of data
- Hands on experience with project management, designing and implementing new databases (Conceptual models [whiteboard/visio] to Logical Models to Physical models [ERWin] deployed on Oracle 10gR2),
- Ability to "hand hold" client team as sometimes they require to have things explained to them in simple terminology
- Ability to work with minimal direction from senior management but yet follow predetermined guidelines and work closely with the project team
In a nutshell we're looking for a data architect to help design, build, maintain and communicate database solutions to business problems. The person needs to "play nice with others" and must be willing to lead project teams to success - throughout the entire life cycle (project inception -> production support).
The company is located in Annapolis Maryland and the position requires the candidate to be in our office 5 days a week. The position in question is for a government contract that we have where we are designing and building database systems for a relatively new Government group. The position requires minimal travel (maybe one trip a year?).
